Bank statements

Statement PDFs turned into transactions.

When a client only has a PDF statement, FinAiQ reads it into dates, descriptions, debits, credits and running balances you can check against the original.

FinAiQ screen: Bank statements

What gets read

  • Every transaction

Date, description, debit or credit, and the running balance.

  • Opening and closing balances

So you can see at a glance whether the statement adds up.

  • Kept per client

Statements live in the client's folder, apart from bills and sales invoices.

When this helps

Most Australian bank accounts reach Xero or QuickBooks through a bank feed. Statements still turn up as PDFs: for accounts without a feed, for periods before the feed started, or when a client sends last year's statements at tax time.

FinAiQ reads those PDFs so nobody has to type them in.
